Title
A Scent of Heaven
Artist
Yelena Rubin
Medium
Painting - Oil On Canvas
Description
This painting was inspired by my vision of a beautiful Goddess which is taking the time to smell the flowers. The scent of lilac, with nature so abundant, she cannot help but enjoy the simple pleasures of life. This is Heaven on earth.

Thank you Bryan and Chris for lovely comments. Lilacs fresh and light, the smell of Spring and I love the different colors all those little flowers combined. I hear so many people talk about how they associate it with childhood memories.

This Goddess is Idhunn the norse goddess of renewal. She is a beauty and so wonderfully portrayed. Lilacs always bring back good memories. They remind me of springs when I was young (there were lots of lilacs around my mom's house) You keep getting better and better.

Yelena, this has to be your best work yet and so well named. A Heavenly Goddess in a garden of lilac, how breathtaking! A feast for all of the senses. Your use of detail and color is well done! Skin tones, flowers and even the silk draped over this Goddess is wonderful and so natural. Your porportions of her are excellent, but than, being a Goddess, how else would she be. Will we be seeing more of her? Thank you for a glimpse of Heaven on Earth!
